What is Mercury?
Mercury is the name of my (current) fursona that I use to represent myself online, especially in relation to my music. The username "mercurialotter" actually predates the name Mercury! Including "mercurial" in my username was inspired by the album Mercurial World by Magdalena Bay, one of my favorite bands.

Why make a Neocities site?
I wanted a central place to direct people to instead of having 5 different links in my bio on every platform. I also got hooked on html and css in the process of writing a Rain World fanfic that used an ao3 workskin (made with css (not by me)) to be in the visual style of Disco Elysium, so I thought trying to actually learn how html works a little bit instead of just copy-pasting stuff could be fun, and this seems like a good outlet. Here's a link to the fic if you're interested, but I haven't written anything for it in a while so who knows if I'll ever actually finish it! Guess you'll just have to wait and see ;3 (please don't hold ur breath)
What do you do on the internet?
I have a bad habit of trying to get into a lot of things at once and ultimately abandoning most of them. Currently I'm focused on music production, though. I've loved music since I was little and I was in choir the entire time I was in school, but I've only recently started trying to actually make my own. I would greatly appreciate if you checked it out, although it's still quite amateurish at this stage.
What do you use to make music?
Ableton Live 12. I'd like to get more gear at some point, especially a midi controller, but for now I just do everything on my laptop. I'm still in college so I unfortunately have more pressing things to spend my money on at the moment.
What other content do you make?
I ocassionally upload on youtube. Usually it's shitty minecraft parodies or custom levels for the game Rhythm Doctor.
